Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, engaged NEC to implement an automated border control system utilizing NEC's most accurate fingerprint identification technology in order to faciliate the entry and exit of travellers. “It’s a system where by the traveller to come in, present their passport, present your fingerprint and then clear immigration without having to see the officer face to face.” Thanks to NEC’s unsurpassed biometrics technology, the immigration process now takes just 12 seconds per person.
